Nanjing Electric has completed the production of insulator products supporting China’s aid project in Central Africa.

On May 11, Nanjing Electric (Jiangxi) Electrical Porcelain Co., Ltd. completed the production and packaging of more than 5,100 porcelain insulators across five product types, manufactured to support China’s photovoltaic power‑station project in the Central African Republic, and will deliver them in the coming days. This is how the employees of Baiyun Power are contributing, through their concrete actions, to the friendship and cooperation between China and Africa. 。
The Central African Republic has experienced numerous periods of unrest, during which its national infrastructure—particularly its power transmission system—has suffered severe damage. As a result, electricity shortages have become a major impediment to the country’s economic development and to improving living standards. As one of the key measures to implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit and the consensus reached by the two heads of state, China’s aid project to build a photovoltaic power plant in the Central African Republic was officially launched in January 2020. With an installed capacity of 15 megawatts, the project, once completed, will help alleviate the region’s acute electricity shortage. It is of great significance for strengthening friendly cooperation between the two countries and benefiting the people of the Central African Republic. 。
As the supplier of transmission and distribution insulation materials for this project, Nanjing Electric Technology Group, a subsidiary of Baiyun Electric Group, assigned its international trading company to handle the supply of insulation materials, while Jiangxi Electric Porcelain Company was responsible for manufacturing porcelain insulators. To ensure the successful implementation of this key national overseas assistance project, the International Trading Company of Nanjing Electric Technology Group and Jiangxi Electric Porcelain Company established a dedicated task force to meticulously organize project execution. Despite challenges such as tight deadlines and high temperatures, the team worked overtime, maintaining both quality and quantity in every stage—production, inspection, and packaging—thereby providing robust assurance for the smooth delivery of the project’s equipment in the next phase.
