Nanjing Electric (formerly Nanjing Electrical Porcelain Factory) traces its origins to the Central Electrical Porcelain Manufacturing Plant of the Nationalist Government’s Resources Commission, which was established in 1936. The company is a pioneering high-voltage electrical porcelain manufacturer in the history of China’s electrical industry and the birthplace of tempered glass insulators, capacitor bushings, and spark plugs in China. It has been honored with titles such as “National Advanced Collective in the Machinery Industry” and “Machinery Industry Enterprise with Modernized Management,” and has twice received the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in China’s machinery sector. Furthermore, it has been consistently ranked among China’s Top 500 Machinery Enterprises and recognized as a leading enterprise in its industrial sector for many consecutive years.
