Nanjing Electric Supplies First Batch of Products for the Baihetan–Jiangsu Ultra-High-Voltage Direct Current Transmission Project

On the morning of May 6, Nanjing Electric began shipping the first batch of products for the Baihetan–Jiangsu ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project. The Baihetan–Jiangsu ±800 kV UHV DC project is a key national power transmission and transformation initiative and a priority component of the West-to-East Power Transmission program. The products are subject to stringent technical and quality requirements, with tight delivery deadlines; they are destined for Zhaojue County and Mabian County in Sichuan Province, where road transport conditions are poor and the areas are sparsely populated or virtually uninhabited. The initial shipment comprises 10,989 glass insulators, which will be delivered to the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture to support the construction of the long-span sections under Contract Sections 1 and 2 of the Sichuan segment of the project.
