Nanjing Electric Co., Ltd. hosted the seminar on the unified specifications for iron caps and clamps organized by the Institute of Electrical Engineering.

On the morning of September 10, 2020, a seminar on the unified specifications for iron caps and fittings of large‑tonnage glass and porcelain insulators, hosted by the China Electric Power Research Institute, was held in Conference Room No. 3 on the third floor of the East China Headquarters of Baiyun Electrical Group/Nanjing Electrical Office Building.
This conference aims to address the challenge of replacing defective products during power‑system operation and maintenance. The event was chaired by Zhou Jun of the China Electric Power Research Institute, who outlined the seminar’s objectives and significance, as well as the key topics and directions for discussion. Huang Ruiping from the Electric Power Research Institute presented on issues such as the feasibility of related research topics, the parameters and standardization of heavy‑duty equipment, and potential avenues for improving replacement tooling.
Insulator manufacturers such as Nanjing Electric, Yibin Global, Sevis, Dalian Electrical Porcelain, and Suzhou Electrical Porcelain, along with representatives from metal cap manufacturers like Meide and Jinkai, and from electrical hardware manufacturers including Zhejiang Datong and An’Dian Xiehe, attended the meeting and offered their views and recommendations. Leaders and experts from Nanjing Electric, including Shi Yubing and Fan Jian’er, also participated in the seminar. The organizers summarized and synthesized the comments and suggestions raised by the attendees, stating that they would organize further discussions at the next seminar to address the identified issues.
