On February 8, 2019, the e-commerce platform of the State Grid Bidding Center released the results of the bidding of glass insulators for the Qinghai-Henan ±800 kV UHV DC transmission line project of the State Grid. Nanjing Electric Insulator Co., Ltd. won the bid for nearly 200,000 pieces, and the winning products are all 550kN bell-shaped glass insulator, the product delivery time is from June to October 2019, and the delivery location is in Henan and Shanxi.
As a key project in the 13th Five-Year Plan for China’s power development, the Qinghai-Henan ±800 kV UHV DC project is the first UHV channel built for clean energy delivery in China and even in the world. High-voltage power transmission technology promotes a major innovation in the large-scale development and utilization of new energy. It will create a model project for UHV construction in the new era, promote the development of the western region and the coordinated development of the eastern and western regions, and have significant economic, social and environmental benefits.
