Has produced thousands of products in 11 categories at the same time

Over the past 80 years, the development of Thunderbolt brand products has experienced voltage levels ranging from low voltage to high voltage, ultra-high voltage, and UHV; product design has changed from imitation to self-design and self-development; product varieties have developed from a single production of high-voltage electrical porcelain to multiple varieties of high-voltage electrical appliances, and Develop products such as glass insulators and composite insulators. Due to the continuous advancement of science and technology, the continuous development of new products and the renewal and transformation of production technology, the product level has been continuously improved and the production scale has been gradually expanded.

Before the liberation, the products of Raiden brand were relatively single, mainly producing low-voltage and high-voltage electric porcelain. After the founding of New China, the product variety and scale development accelerated. By the 1980s, it has been able to produce high-voltage line electric porcelain, electric power station electrical porcelain, tempered glass insulators, capacitive bushings, high-voltage transformers, high-voltage isolation switches, high-voltage fuses, spark plugs, glow plugs, high-energy igniters, low-temperature ignition systems, etc. A large category, more than 1,000 varieties and specifications of products, supporting power construction and automobile and internal combustion engine industries, and exported to more than 50 countries and regions in the world.

In 2000, the export delivery value of Thunderbolt brand products was 103.59 million yuan, accounting for 30.4% of sales revenue; the company’s headquarters completed export delivery value of 31.95 million yuan, accounting for 17.3% of the company’s headquarters sales revenue.

During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, with the industrial planning and financial support of Baiyun Electric Group, the company focused on the development of power transmission and transformation products, formed three core businesses of tempered glass insulators, high-voltage bushings, and composite insulators, and planned to restore and expand electrical porcelain, Transformers and other services. By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period in 2015, the number of exporting countries and regions has increased to more than 70.

The annual output of Raiden brand high-voltage electric porcelain (insulator calibers, including high-voltage porcelain insulators, tempered glass insulators, capacitor bushings, etc.) was only a few hundred tons at the beginning of the liberation period, and increased to more than 30,000 tons during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period. According to estimates, the cumulative production and sales volume in the past 80 years has exceeded 700,000 tons, of which 130,000 tons have been exported.

Three advantages and featured products are leading the country

In the history of Raiden brand products, there were three major products which were the company's first domestic advantageous characteristic products and main export products. These products were successfully developed in the 1950s, creating a precedent in the domestic industry and maintaining a leading position in the domestic industry for a long time.

One is the spark plug, which was successfully developed in 1951 and mass-produced in 1953. Later, British and American technologies were introduced for technological transformation. Has long occupied half of the domestic market. In 1996, it established a joint venture with Bosch of Germany. At the end of 2009, Baiyun Group transferred and exited the spark plug business in accordance with the development needs of the power transmission and transformation industry. According to estimates, a total of 1 billion spark plugs were produced and sold from 1953 to 2009.

The second is tempered glass insulators, which were successfully developed in 1958 and mass-produced in 1961. It has experienced three development stages: manual production, domestic mechanized production, and imported technology production. According to statistics from senior expert Gu Honglian, as of April 2017, the cumulative sales of tempered glass insulators have exceeded 90 million pieces (of which 25 million pieces have been exported), and they have been adopted by 17 UHV projects.

The third is the high-voltage capacitor bushing, which was successfully developed in 1958 and mass-produced in 1960. Later, it introduced technology from Germany, the United States, Switzerland and other countries to carry out technological transformation. Since 2013, the new area has added a new business of glue-impregnated fiber (glass reinforced plastic) dry casing. According to preliminary statistics, as of 2016, the cumulative output of high voltage capacitor bushings reached 150,000, and the development and supply of UHV wall bushings and transformer bushings have been completed. Since the beginning of this year, the glue-impregnated paper dry casing project has been officially put into production.

Some products are little known and are no longer produced

The company is a key backbone enterprise in the national machinery industry. It has certain advantages in technology, equipment, and talents, and bears the major responsibility of providing supporting products for economic construction and national defense construction. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it has developed, produced and provided some products for economic and national defense construction in accordance with the country’s mandatory plans and in accordance with the needs of economic construction. These products were discontinued and no longer produced during the subsequent adjustments to the industrial structure and corporate structure. .

These products involve power construction, transportation industry, national defense and military industry, etc., mainly including high-frequency porcelain, spark plugs, high-voltage fuses, lightning arresters, aviation spark plugs, glow plugs, special ignition devices, high-voltage isolation switches, high-energy igniters, coupling capacitors, etc. Aviation spark plugs, special ignition devices, etc. are used in military aircraft, tanks, armored vehicles, rockets and other military industries.

In addition, it also produces low-voltage electric porcelain, low-voltage fuses and fuse cores, spark plug wiring caps, low-temperature ignition systems, special ceramics, etc. according to market needs.
