The East China Headquarters of Baiyun Electric Group hosted the 17th Dragon Boat Race.

On the morning of June 24, the 17th Dragon Boat Race of Baiyun Electric Group’s East China Headquarters and Nanjing Electric was held at the Nanjing Water Sports School, located on the southeastern shore of Xuanwu Lake. Zhang Musan, a leader from the Economic Development Zone Branch of the Nanjing Municipal Public Security Bureau, along with company executives Shen Qirong, Cheng Hongliang, Deng Junwen, Chen Xiongqing, Zhao Yiping, and Yu Yong, attended the event and presented awards to the winning teams. Prior to the race, Zhang Musan and Shen Qirong each delivered remarks and jointly performed the traditional “dotting of the dragon’s eye” ceremony for the “Chinese Dragon.”
This year’s dragon boat race is a 500-meter straight‑line sprint, with 12 teams taking part. Among them, 11 teams are fielded by various departments of the East China Headquarters of Baiyun Electric Group and Nanjing Electric, while the Economic Development Zone Branch of the Nanjing Municipal Public Security Bureau has also been invited to compete. The lineup includes both seasoned powerhouses that have repeatedly vied for victory and a host of newcomers. Athletes from each team are eager and ready, paddling their dragon boats across Xuanwu Lake, riding the waves and striving for supremacy.
The competition consists of two stages: the preliminary round and the final. Following the group-stage preliminaries, the Economic Development Zone Branch of the Nanjing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Composite Manufacturing Division, the Glass Manufacturing Division, the Parts Division, the Glass Assembly Division, and the High-Voltage Bushing Company advanced to the final.
To the rousing beat of drums, team members paddled with all their might, vying fiercely for the lead on each racecourse. The drumbeats and work chants from the boats mingled with the cheers and shouts from the shore, creating a deafening chorus. In the end, the Economic Development Zone Branch of the Nanjing Municipal Public Security Bureau took first prize, while the Glass Assembly Division and the Composite Manufacturing Division claimed second place; the Glass Manufacturing Division, the Parts Division, and the High‑Voltage Casing Company shared third place.
This competition is hosted by the General Office of the East China Headquarters and co-organized by the Corporate Management and Human Resources Department. The event was moderated by Sun Ning. (Xiao Ming)
