Nanjing Electric’s UHVDC composite insulators have obtained State Grid network access certification.

At the end of May, State Grid Corporation issued the Verification Certificate for Supplier Qualifications and Capabilities in its centralized large-scale tender procurement (for 35 kV and above line insulators). Accordingly, the ±500 kV and ±800 kV rod‑type suspended composite insulators of Nanjing Electric (Group) Co., Ltd., which had previously undergone on-site verification, were officially added to the list of products eligible for supply. This marks the official approval of Nanjing Electric’s UHVDC composite insulators for use on the State Grid network.
The Certificate of Verification of Supplier Qualifications and Capabilities for Centralized Large-Scale Tender Procurement by State Grid Corporation, also known as the “One-Page Proof of Product Access to the Grid,” is a qualification document that certifies a company’s products are eligible to supply to State Grid and can be put into grid‑connected operation. From April 17 to 20, at the request of Nanjing Electric, the Materials Department of State Grid Corporation dispatched an expert panel to the company to conduct on-site verification of its application for supplier qualifications for ultra‑high‑voltage DC composite insulators. Over four days, the seven-member team carried out field sampling tests and reviewed relevant qualification documents for ±500 kV and ±800 kV DC rod‑type suspended composite insulators. Following rigorous testing over the four-day period, all tested products met the required standards, and the associated qualification documentation was endorsed by the expert panel. At the same time, the panel also put forward recommendations for improvement. (Hemu)
