Zhao Baoyi, Executive Vice Mayor of Jiayuguan City, paid a visit to Nanjing Electric for an inspection.

On the morning of February 23, 2022, Zhao Baoyi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiajuguan Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor; Wang Guohua, Director of the Jiajuguan Industrial Park Management Committee; and Wang Wei, Director of the Jiajuguan Science and Technology Bureau, paid a visit to Nanjing Electric for an inspection. Shen Qirong, Deputy General Manager of Baiyun Electric Group and General Manager of Nanjing Electric Technology Group; Deng Junwen, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Electric Technology Group; and Yao Hanqing, Deputy General Manager of Nanjing Electric Technology Group and General Manager of Nanjing Electric Power Engineering Company, among other leaders, attended the reception and provided an overview of the company’s operations.
At the symposium, Zhao Baoyi provided a brief overview of Jiayuguan City and its industrial park, highlighting their development over recent years and outlining their future direction. On behalf of Nanjing Electric, Deng Junwen recounted the founding story of Baiyun Electric Group—rooted in the principle that “to forge iron, one must first be strong oneself”—and its corporate culture. He also detailed the company’s 86-year legacy of steady, methodical progress, its unwavering commitment to serving the nation through industry, its dedication to advancing China’s indigenous industrial sector, and its contributions to the country’s power‑generation infrastructure, as well as the company’s strategic plan for the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
Subsequently, Zhao Baoyi and his delegation visited Nanjing Electric’s high-voltage bushing production line, its UHV laboratory, as well as the hollow composite insulator and glass insulator production lines. They conducted an on-site inspection and gained a thorough understanding of Nanjing Electric’s industrial focus, equipment capabilities, product differentiators, and the company’s leading position in the industry for these products.
Zhao Baoyi fully endorsed Nanjing Electric’s vision for innovative development and its unwavering commitment to continuous optimization and upgrading, expressing his hope to strengthen cooperation with the company in areas such as clean energy and power infrastructure construction, thereby contributing to the development of China’s western region and the city of Jiayuguan.
