The Nanjing Electric Provincial Ultra-High Voltage Bushing Engineering Technology Research Center has passed its acceptance review.

On November 1, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology announced the results of the acceptance review for the 2021 provincial-level engineering technology research center projects. Nanjing Electric High-Voltage Bushing Co., Ltd.’s “Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Ultra-High and Extra-High Voltage Bushings” was among those approved, having passed the evaluation.
The “Jiangsu Provincial Research Center for Ultra-High Voltage Bushing Engineering Technology” commenced construction in September 2018. During the three-year project period, in accordance with the terms of the project contract, the center successfully established its research team, fostered industry–university–research collaborative development, and invested in necessary equipment. All performance indicators met the required standards, and following expert review and scoring, the center was ultimately approved upon acceptance, thereby maintaining its status as a provincial-level engineering technology research center.
Over the past three years, leveraging Nanjing Electric High‑Voltage Bushing Co., Ltd., the center has focused on advancing bushing‑related technologies and developing core materials for both upstream and downstream applications. Committed to upgrading the bushing industry and fostering economic growth, it has strived to achieve domestic leadership and international cutting‑edge standards in bushing technology. Through highly effective R&D and technological innovation, the center has successfully developed numerous new ultra‑extra‑high‑voltage capacitive bushings and signed and implemented multiple R&D projects with State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid, making significant contributions to addressing critical bottlenecks in national power‑grid construction. During this period, a total of 41 patent applications were filed, including one PCT application, 15 invention patents, and 19 granted patents. The domestically produced high‑end bushings that have replaced imports have been widely adopted by China Southern Power Grid and were awarded the company’s Technology Transfer and Application Prize. Furthermore, the first full‑station compositeization project for 750 kV hollow composite insulators has completed R&D, manufacturing, and delivery.
Relevant officials stated that the “Jiangsu Provincial Research Center for Ultra-High-Voltage Bushing Engineering Technology” will continue to strengthen its research capabilities, attract and cultivate a team of highly qualified professionals, and enhance the enterprise’s capacity for scientific and technological innovation. It will also further leverage its pivotal role as a leading center to make due contributions to China Manufacturing 2025.
