The Nanjing Electric Digital Factory Project Has Officially Commenced Full-Scale Construction.

On the morning of October 25, 2021, construction officially commenced at the Nanjing Electrical Technology Group’s digital factory project, a major initiative in Nanjing, marking the full-scale advancement of the project.
With the implementation of new‑generation power infrastructure projects and growing demand in both domestic and international markets, Nanjing Electric’s existing kilns and production lines can no longer meet the requirements for simultaneously manufacturing AC and DC products. To promptly expand production capacity for tempered glass insulators, adjust the product mix, and enhance international competitiveness, The parent company of Nanjing Electric, Baiyun Electric Group, has decided to invest in the construction of the “Green Digital Factory Project for Glass Insulators.” 。
The Digital Factory Project builds upon the first phase of the glass insulator project by adding a new glass melting furnace, a glass component production line, and a digital insulator assembly line. All major equipment is sourced from world‑class suppliers. Compared with the existing production lines, the new facilities—featuring digitalization, intelligence, environmental sustainability, and high efficiency—will reach a world‑leading standard.
In the face of the global COVID‑19 pandemic, the company has, on the one hand, overcome challenges and vigorously advanced the planning and implementation of project designs, while on the other hand, accelerated equipment procurement; imported equipment has now been arriving in stages. To ensure safety, the project team has conducted professional disinfection and nucleic acid testing on all imported equipment and established isolation zones for their separate storage.
