Proactively integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and actively support the Fujian–Guangdong power interconnection.

On April 25 and May 10, Nanjing Electric signed framework procurement contracts with Guangdong Power Grid for the “500 kV Outer Ring Mid‑Section Project in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and the Qingcheng–Zhuhai Northeast 500 kV Transmission Line Project (Qingyuan Section)” and the “500 kV Fujian–Guangdong Interconnection Project: Converter Station–Jiaying Double‑Circuit 500 kV Line (Guangdong Section),” respectively. Under these contracts, the company will supply 100,000 glass insulators for both projects, thereby contributing to the development of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and the Fujian–Guangdong interconnection network.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is composed of It comprises the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, along with nine cities in the Pearl River Delta—Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and Zhaoqing. It is one of China’s most open and economically dynamic regions, holding a pivotal strategic position in the country’s overall development. Advancing the construction of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area will help deepen exchanges and cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao, and is of great significance for enabling these regions to participate in national development strategies, enhance their competitiveness, and maintain long-term prosperity and stability. Nanjing Electric’s acquisition of this project order will contribute to power infrastructure development in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, while also playing a key role in boosting the company’s financial performance.
The Fujian–Guangdong Interconnection Project, following the Three Gorges–Guangdong ±500 kV DC transmission project, represents the second interconnection link between the State Grid and the Southern Power Grid. This project has become another landmark initiative marking the deepened cooperation between the two major power grids. Upon completion, it will enable interconnection and interoperability between the Fujian and Guangdong power grids, facilitating mutual supplementation of surpluses and deficits, serving as backup capacity, and providing emergency support in case of contingencies. It holds significant importance for implementing the new energy security strategy, optimizing the large-scale allocation of energy resources, and ensuring the reliable power supply in both provinces.
By integrating into the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and supporting the Fujian–Guangdong power interconnection project, Nanjing Electric will, in accordance with China Southern Power Grid’s requirements, fully recognize the profound significance of these two major undertakings.
