Fighting the Storm, Rushing to Aid Zhejiang’s Power Restoration Efforts

Nanjing Electric Receives a Letter of Appreciation from Zhejiang Provincial Power Company
On June 4, the Materials Company of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. sent a letter of gratitude to Nanjing Electrical Insulator Co., Ltd., commending the company’s efforts and contributions in combating the severe storm and restoring the 500-kV Lanfeng Transmission Line in the Shaoxing region.
The letter of thanks states that, beginning on the night of May 14, 2021, severe convective weather struck northern Zhejiang as well as the central and western regions, resulting in damage to portions of the 500-kV Lanfeng Transmission Line in the Shaoxing area. In response, our company promptly activated its emergency response plan in accordance with instructions from higher authorities and swiftly dispatched personnel to the Shaoxing site. At the same time, we coordinated with suppliers to meet urgent needs for tower structures, conductors, ground wires, insulators, and other materials, and implemented emergency resource reallocation.
On May 16, upon receiving our company’s request for emergency supplies, your organization responded promptly and with great enthusiasm. In particular, you demonstrated meticulous planning, thorough coordination, and effective management throughout the delivery process, overcoming numerous challenges and ensuring strict compliance with the specified requirements. You dispatched dedicated personnel and vehicles, successfully delivering the first batch of emergency supplies to the designated location in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, at 10:30 p.m. on May 16. This timely and accurate delivery of 174 glass insulators of the 300 kN standard type provided robust support for our company’s emergency rescue operations. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your high level of attention, active cooperation, swift response, and tireless efforts. We hope that your company will continue to excel and, in future endeavors, further strengthen its role in ensuring the reliable supply of grid‑related materials, thereby making new contributions to the development of China’s power sector.
