Former company leaders Song Zeshi and Yuan Changyuan paid a visit to the industrial park for an inspection.

On the morning of March 22, former company leaders Song Zeshi and Yuan Changyuan paid a visit to the industrial park for an inspection. General Manager Shen Qirong met with the former leaders, briefed them on the company’s operations, and accompanied them on the tour.
In Conference Room No. 3 of the office building, two former leaders watched corporate promotional videos filmed in recent years and listened to Shen Qirong’s briefing on the Baiyun Group’s overview, the current status of Nanjing Electric, and the company’s future development plans.
Song Zeshi said, “President Yuan and I both joined the factory in 1965. I spent the best twenty years of my youth here, and seeing the enterprise’s development and transformation now, I feel those two decades were well spent. As I recall, production at the electrical porcelain factory was extremely challenging—especially given the constant fear of accidents resulting in loss of life. When I first became the Party Secretary of the factory, I knew very little; I am deeply grateful to the mid-level cadres, who were highly capable and provided me with tremendous support. Later, I moved on to work at the Municipal Procuratorate. I am thankful for the hard work and dedication of those who have followed.”
Yuan Changyuan stated that upon arriving at the new plant, he was delighted to see how rapidly the company has grown and how dramatically it has transformed—surpassing the achievements of its predecessors over several decades in just a few short years. This remarkable progress is inseparable from the dedicated efforts of the current management team, led by President Shen, as well as the entire workforce, and it is also a testament to advances in science and technology and the march of the times.
Accompanied by Shen Qirong, Song Zeshi and Yuan Changyuan toured the high-voltage bushing production line, the ultra-high-voltage testing laboratory, and the glass component manufacturing line.
According to available information, Song Zeshi was appointed deputy factory director in 1982 and party secretary of the factory in 1984; he later transferred to hold leading positions at the Municipal Machinery Bureau and the Municipal People’s Procuratorate. Yuan Changyuan served as deputy factory director in 1989 and became factory director in 1991, subsequently also assuming the role of party secretary; on May 22, 1995, he was received by Jiang Zemin, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
Company leaders Shi Yubing, Cheng Hongliang, Chen Xiongqing, along with heads of relevant departments, attended the reception.
