On October 15, 2019, the State Grid Tendering Center issued an announcement on the results of the winning bids for the key projects of the State Grid from Yazhong to Jiangxi ±800 kV, and Changzhi Station Power Plant 1000 kV to send supporting projects. Nanjing Electric Insulator Co., Ltd. glass insulators won the bid for the above two items. For key projects, the winning bids were over 480,000 pieces of 550kN DC cap and pin glass insulators and over 30,000 pieces of 550kN AC outer shed glass insulators, totaling more than 510,000 pieces.
The National Grid Yazhong to Jiangxi ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project is to implement the Party Central Committee’s green development concept, accelerate the development of clean and low-carbon energy transformation, and promote the development and delivery of hydropower in Sichuan Province to meet the needs of Jiangxi Province, Hunan Province and other central China regions. Built for electricity demand, it is a key project of the country's "West-East Power Transmission" strategy.
The 1000 kV transmission supporting line project of the Changzhi Station Power Plant of the State Grid is an UHV project built to implement the national energy transformation development strategy of "Shanxi Power Transmission" and "Coal and Power Transmission Simultaneously". The project can ease the pressure of coal transportation and implement the National Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan, which is of great significance for driving the sustainable development of the regional economy.
