New Edition of the Training Manual for Glass Insulators Published by Nanjing Electric Power

In response to the production and operational needs of the enterprise and in accordance with the requirements of company leadership, Nanjing Electric Insulator Co., Ltd. recently organized the preparation of a new edition of the training manual on the manufacturing process of tempered glass insulators. The book was personally authored by Gu Honglian, a senior expert who receives a special government allowance from the State Council, and comprises over 200,000 characters.
According to reports, tempered‑glass insulators, a flagship product of Nanjing Electric that boasts pioneering advantages, distinctive features, and a renowned brand name, have benefited from 60 years of research, development, and manufacturing. Over these six decades, generations of Nanjing Electric employees have upheld self-reliance, worked tirelessly, dedicated themselves to national development, and pursued independent innovation, enabling the product line to grow from scratch to a major industry player—steadily expanding while consistently filling domestic gaps, breaking foreign monopolies, leading sectoral progress, and meeting the demands of power‑grid construction. In doing so, the company has made outstanding contributions to China’s power‑infrastructure development, particularly to key national projects. Centering on this core product, the company has continuously upgraded its production technologies and fostered independent innovation. Its manufacturing processes have evolved through three distinct phases: manual production, mechanized manufacturing, and automated production based on imported technologies. As a result, both production quality and technological standards have reached world‑class levels, making Nanjing Electric a model for modern industrial development in China.
