On the morning of March 16, Zhang Jinghua, a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Party Committee, chaired the monthly entrepreneurs’ symposium, inviting leaders from several member enterprises of the Nanjing Federation of Enterprises and the Entrepreneurs Association to discuss and exchange views on advancing the development of an innovation‑driven city. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, positioning innovation as the primary driving force behind high‑quality development and treating the building of an innovation‑oriented city as a major task for the entire city. He also stressed the importance of giving full play to the principal role of enterprises and entrepreneurs, fully unleashing the innovative and entrepreneurial vitality of the whole society, and ensuring that all efforts to build an innovation‑driven city are carried out in a practical and effective manner. Shen Qirong, General Manager and Party Secretary of Nanjing Electric, attended the symposium at the invitation of the organizers.
At the symposium, Li Qi, President of the Nanjing Enterprise Federation, outlined the work of the Federation and the Nanjing Entrepreneurs Association. Wang Haitao, President of the Nanjing Entrepreneurs Association and Chairman of the Nanjing Zijin Investment Group, on behalf of 26 enterprises, read aloud the “Joint Initiative of Nanjing Entrepreneurs for Building an Innovative City.” Leaders from institutions and companies including the Fourteenth Institute, Conny Electromechanical, M&G Group, Suning.com, CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Vehicle Co., Ltd., and Nanjing High-Precision Transmission Gear Co., Ltd., each delivered remarks and shared their perspectives. Zhang Jinghua expressed his gratitude to all enterprises and entrepreneurs for their contributions to Nanjing’s economic and social development, and responded in turn to the questions and suggestions raised by the participants.
