On August 22, the Global Manufacturers Summit, co-hosted by the China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association and the Global Manufacturers Group, was grandly held at the Grand Hyatt Beijing. During the event, the 2017 (15th) “China Top 500 Machinery Enterprises and China Top 100 Machinery Brands Research Report” and the “Global Top 500 Machinery Enterprises Research Report” were unveiled. SAIC, FAW, and Dongfeng Motor ranked first, second, and third, respectively, in the “China Top 500 Machinery Enterprises” list. Among the “Global Top 500 Machinery Enterprises,” 89 mainland Chinese machinery companies were included. Nanjing Electric Technology Co., Ltd. was named to the 2017 China Top 500 Machinery Enterprises and was invited to send representatives to attend the summit.

Guests attending the launch event for the “Top 500 Chinese Machinery Enterprises” included Sun Zumei, a former senior leader of the former Ministry of Machinery Industry; Xin Renzhou, Inspector with the Industrial Policy Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Sun Bohuai, Chairman of the China Association for Enterprise Management in the Machinery Industry; Li Ling, Executive Vice Chairman; and Zhu Jinping, Secretary-General. At the event, Professor Steve Evans, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Industrial Development at the University of Cambridge; Dr. Shi Yongjiang, Research Director of the International Manufacturing Centre at the University of Cambridge; Professor Jiang Xuping of the Department of Marketing at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University; and Dr. Liu Bin, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association for Enterprise Management in the Machinery Industry and Chairman of Zhiben Consulting Group, were invited to deliver keynote speeches.

According to reports, since the launch of the China Machinery Top 500 ranking in 2013, the company has been consistently listed among the top 500 Chinese machinery enterprises. This year’s application was jointly prepared by the General Office and the Financial Management Department. In line with the actual needs of the new‑area development and the guidance of senior management, the project was submitted under the name Nanjing Electric Technology Co., Ltd. Following consultations between relevant officials and the organizing body, the application was approved, enabling Nanjing Electric Technology Co., Ltd. to be successfully included in the 2017 China Machinery Top 500, ranking 392nd—marking a significant improvement over previous years. This achievement reflects the company’s substantial growth in economic scale and overall strength on its new platform.
