On June 22, the Fifth Council (Expanded) Meeting of the Seventh China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association was held in Penglai, Shandong. More than 300 representatives from key industrial enterprises, societies, chambers of commerce, industry associations, industry authorities (economy and information, administrative offices), and news media from the national machinery industry attended the meeting. Xu Xuefeng, Director of the Industrial Policy Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Sun Bohuai, Chairman of the China Machinery Enterprise Association, attended the meeting and delivered important speeches. The conference solemnly commended the typical enterprises and typical figures of the 2016 Machinery Industry Modernization Enterprise Management Demonstration Project. Shen Qirong, general manager and party secretary of Nanjing Electric (Group) Co., Ltd., was awarded the title of National Machinery Industry Outstanding Entrepreneur.

The selection and commendation activity for outstanding entrepreneurs and star entrepreneurs in the machinery industry is one of the nine ministries and commissions of the State Council to clean up, appraise, and commend, approve and retain projects. It is an important part of the modern enterprise management demonstration project in the machinery industry and is implemented by the China Machinery Industry Enterprise Management Association. It is an important carrier to promote the progress of industry enterprise management and build a team of outstanding entrepreneurs. At the end of last year, in accordance with the spirit of the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Selection and Recognition of Outstanding Entrepreneurs and Star Entrepreneurs in the Machinery Industry from 2015 to 2016" by the China Machinery Industry Association and the actual conditions of our company, the general manager’s office made a declaration at the end of last year, the company’s main leader Shen Qirong Declaring work for outstanding entrepreneurs in the national machinery industry. The application and selection of the 8th "National Machinery Industry Outstanding Entrepreneurs and Star Entrepreneurs" lasted nearly a year. According to the strict evaluation procedures of the China Association of Enterprises, after the enterprise declaration, the preliminary review and approval of the provincial and municipal industry associations, the preliminary recommendation of the China Machinery Enterprise Association, the review and publicity, and the final evaluation of the selection and commendation leading group, the commended personnel are finally produced.

It is understood that in this selection, to declare outstanding entrepreneurs in the machinery industry, there are six requirements: First, they have held a major leadership position in the company for more than 5 years. The second is that the leading enterprise conforms to the modern enterprise system, has outstanding operating performance, and its main economic indicators are at the forefront of the industry. The third is to operate in compliance with the law, pay taxes in accordance with the law, and fulfill the contract with the promise of a good reputation. No major environmental pollution, quality, or safety accidents occurred during his tenure. Fourth, the entrepreneur himself has advanced management concepts and obtained management innovation results at or above the ministerial level; he has outstanding entrepreneurship, innovation and deeds of promoting the continuous development of the enterprise; the enterprise has sustainable development. Fifth, enterprises and entrepreneurs have a good public image and can consciously assume social responsibilities. Sixth, the company was awarded the "Management Progress Demonstration Enterprise" or "Modern Management Enterprise" or "AAA" or above in the machinery industry.
