The Party General Branch of Nanjing Electric held an expanded meeting of its branch committee.

Deng Junwen, Secretary of the Party General Branch, chaired the meeting and delivered a concluding address. All members of the Party General Branch attended, while Shen Qirong, General Manager of Nanjing Electric Technology Group, along with Deputy General Managers Li Tingbiao and Yao Hanqing, as well as secretaries of the various Party branches, heads of the Party‑Mass Work Office, and the secretary of the Youth League General Branch, were present in an observer capacity and participated in the discussion.
At the organizational life meeting, all members of the Party General Branch focused on the designated theme, conducted in-depth self-examination and mutual criticism, and engaged in candid and rigorous criticism and self-criticism. The self-assessments were insightful, the mutual critiques were direct and to the point, the responses to criticism were proactive and sincere, and the corrective measures were concrete and practical, thereby achieving the intended outcomes and objectives. Attendees also evaluated the members of the Party General Branch and the branch’s overall work.
The meeting set forth the following six requirements for strengthening Party building this year: First, intensify external publicity and develop a distinctive Party‑building brand of our own; second, ensure that “Party building drives development” by maintaining sustained oversight of key tasks; third, deepen theoretical study, strengthen ideological and political education, and resolutely uphold the “Two Safeguards”; fourth, reinforce organizational work and bolster the ranks of Party members; fifth, advance the institutionalization of Party‑branch committee meetings to unify Party members’ thinking; and sixth, promote the cultivation of red culture to foster a healthy, positive, and uplifting environment.
Following the meeting, the Party General Branch led participants through themed exhibition halls—including “The Song of the Educated Youth,” “The Spirit of the Pukou Educated Youth,” the “Educated Youth Experience Hall,” and the “Educated Youth Folklore Hall”—to gain an in-depth understanding of the working and living conditions faced by educated youth who went to the countryside during a time of scarce resources and harsh circumstances. They were able to appreciate the vibrant youthful energy and the optimistic, forward‑looking spirit of this vast cohort. Participants revisited the historical context of the Up to the Mountains and Down to the Countryside Movement, fully experiencing the profound, transformative changes brought about by the country’s rapid development over the past four decades of reform and opening-up.
