Braving the pandemic to head to India, with a steadfast focus on the market and a bold spirit of taking the lead.

Since the outbreak of the COVID‑19 pandemic in 2020, more than two years have passed. The ongoing global pandemic has dealt a significant blow to Nanjing Electric’s overseas operations. Since 2021, the situation has remained challenging.
To reverse the unfavorable situation, advance its overseas operations, and secure its 2022 sales targets, Nanjing Electric launched an international deployment plan as the global pandemic situation showed slight improvement. In October 2022, Hao Jingtao, CFO of Nanjing Electric Technology Group and General Manager of the Indian plant; Chen Xiongqing, Deputy General Manager of the Technology Group and General Manager of the Bushing Company; Ding Shilin, a bushing‑related technical specialist; and Shen Weitao, Sales Manager at the International Trade Company, pressed ahead against headwinds, traveling to India to drive forward the work of Nanjing Electric’s Indian manufacturing facility, further expand into the Indian market, and ensure robust after‑sales service for bushings.
A four-member delegation from Nanjing Electric paid a friendly visit to the State Grid Corporation of India and toured the 765/400/220 kV substation near Delhi, as well as the Nashik 1200/765/400/220 kV substation. At these facilities, they engaged in in-depth discussions with technical and administrative leaders on matters related to technology and products. At Nanjing Electric’s Indian manufacturing plant, Hao Jingtao and his colleagues held extensive exchanges with relevant stakeholders, assisted in resolving equipment commissioning issues, and conducted foundational training on bushings for the plant’s technical staff. The Nanjing Electric delegation also met with the local agent, holding detailed discussions on market collaboration, timely delivery of composite insulators, and after-sales service for bushings, while expressing strong interest in exploring multifaceted cooperation opportunities in the future.
“Starlight never lets down those who keep moving forward, and time rewards those who put their heart into it!” During my business trip to India, thanks to relentless efforts, Nanjing Electric has achieved solid results in the Indian market: the Nanjing Electric India plant project is progressing smoothly; its bushing after-sales service has earned unanimous recognition from India’s State Grid; on the commercial front, we successfully secured a contract for a Burundi glass insulator project with an Indian company, obtained a preliminary contract for a Senegal glass project, and received the award notice for a composite‑insulator project in Georgia.
Amid the global pandemic, the team at Nanjing Electric Power has confronted risks and challenges head-on, actively engaging on the front lines of the market. By leveraging their professional expertise and delivering high‑quality services, they have won over customers, expanded market presence, and worked tirelessly to achieve the company’s 2022 sales targets.
