Nanjing Electric (group) Co., Ltd., together with State Grid Hebei Electric Power Research Institute and Hebei Silicon Valley Chemical Co. Ltd, has been awarded the first prize of science and technology progress of State Grid Hebei Electric Power Co. Ltd.
Since 2015, Nanjing Electric has carried out research on related technologies of composite insulators in factories, and carried out a large number of experimental studies on RTV coatings, coating thickness and different coating methods from different manufacturers. Some of the research results have been applied to glass insulators coated with RTV coating for five UHVDC transmission lines of the State Grid: "Lingzhou-Shaoxing", "Jinbei-Nanjing", "Jiuquan-Hunan", "Shanghai Miao-Shandong" and "Changji-Guquan".
